Border Collies. These little cattle-herders, apart from their peculiar apptitude for driving sheep through hurdles where sheep don't want to go, have many pretty and endearing ways. I have never known any other dog who would sit hanging his head, in expectation of a scolding. Puzzling and idiosyncratic companions, I have come to the conclusion that they are a bit fey.
